Have a faith in yourself. Do you really want to study in USA and not in your own country ? USA is an expensive country . Can your parents really afford the tution fees of American Universities.
The funny thing is the plane ticket costs like more then INR75000 which is equivalent to a tution fee for year of studying in an Indian College and you can imagine how expensive it will be staying in USA foods,room and board you have to pay everything by yourself . Especially students from a developing country like India, Bangladesh, SriLanka, Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, Congo, Nepal just want to enter the USA any how because if we see the ratio the students returning back to their own country it is much lesser then students trying to live in USA after completing their studies .Sorry if it hurts ur feelings but its the truth .

You can search for USEF location in your nearest locality by typing your country name followed by USEF .

b)Translating ur Transcipts?
Ans- American Universites accepts the Marksheet only translated or checked by USEF and some other universities ask you to translate your documents by WES(World Education Services).
c)What documents should i need to Universities to get my I20?
Ans-
1.Photocopy of Passport
2.Translated education certificates(i.e 12 or bachelor level certificates)
3.Personal Statement
4.Bank Balance(To show the universities that your parents can afford your education at least
for 1 year)I guess 25,000,00 will be enough.
5.Bank Draft made in the college or university name . The application fee change varies from $15 to $150.
6.Ielts,SAT,TOFEL,GRE score sheet photocopies will be ok you dont need to share Originals for most of the universities.
After all this documents you will get the I20 if you are accpeted .Hopefully you will be selected.
What after getting the I20?
Now the real task starts . You have to do a research about the college you are going to and also the course you are going to study . You may think how will i get this much information?Its Simple anyone can do that even if you cant operate computers or not good at finding things in Internet .
Go to google.com Type ur college name For Eg.Wayne State Unviersity once you are inside the college website you can get all the informations there . If you still have some misunderstanding about or confusion about the course that you are going to study just email any one from the university International Educational Services they will send you a mail about each and every topic that you have to study for 4 years . Do not hesitate to contact your university proffesor or teachers they are very helpful and coopeartive.
Information for students applying for Bachelor Level or Undergraduate Level ?
Now all the students who have completed their 12 grades . More then 60 percent of the students want to go abroad for further study.
Now the confusion Starts?
a)Tofel or Ielts Is Ielts recognized by American Universities?
Ans- Tofel and Ielts is basically same both of these tests are only given to prove you can read and write or communicate in English . I suggest IELTS because its much cool then compare to TOFEL.
There are 4 sections in IELTS that is Reading , Speaking , Listening and Reading .Each sections consist of band 0-9 and an overall band of 0-9 . Getting admitted into American universities 5.5 or 6 as an overall will be sufficient .And yes IELTS is recognized by almost all the universities of USA . Giving TOFEL for getting into american universities is an OLD TREND you don't need to follow that believe me if you study IELTS and appear in IELTS exam you will certainly thank me.

b)Is SAT and scolarship important?
Ans SAT is a difficult exam it consists of Math,Essays and tough grammar . So you need to study a lot . In my view SAT is only important if u need scolarship. Its a burden especially if you are not a good student especially weak in math like me I dont recommend to give it or study SAT .You have to study for like more then 4 months to get a good score I am talking only about weak students intelligent students dont need to read this part they can move directly down. :P
What happens if you are weak and study SAT you will get scolarship but you have to study a lot you may get frustated and be sad after the score you get at last . Giving SAT examination and getting a high score doesnt gives you a 100% percentage of getting a VISA for studying in USA.

At last if you have a great background from schooldays in mathematics and english give SAT examination and if you dont have these qualities dont get into trouble.Have fun in your vaccation dont give a lot of burden to ur 18-20 years shoulder,

hi, that was valuable information provide by you. I want to pursue my Masters in Epidemiology/public health from any of the good universities from the States, but the hitch is, that i only have 15 years of education.Will any colg accept me???
ReplyDeleteYes thwy will surely accept you but you have to do 1 year foundation course in USA then 2 years of Masters . It will take 3 years to complete your Masters in Epidemology/public health.
